📢 Reflecting on the Charlie Hebdo Attacks: 10 Years After Join us on Tuesday, 7th January, as the University of Düsseldorf – @HHU_de hosts an afternoon of insightful talks to mark the 10th anniversary of the Charlie Hebdo shootings. Speakers include: 🎙️ @RolfKailuweit – Professor of Romance Linguistics at @HHU_de. 🎙️ Wanignon Aidjinou – PhD student exploring media representations of collective tragedies. 🎙️ Gérôme Truc – Sociologist and @CNRS research fellow, specialising in social reactions to terrorist attacks. As part of the ARENAS project, Dr @StevenForti and the Work Package 3 team have released a major report exploring the historical evolution of extremist narratives in Europe, from the late 19th century to today. Featuring case studies from 10 countries, the report examines how these narratives have shaped politics and media, offering insights to develop strategies for countering their spread.
