Even with the huge, proposed expansion in wind, it’s difficult to see how these stats will be much different in 2030. There was plentiful wind capacity last month, it just wasn’t available. Building more wind means that you still need more back-up for the tough times. Costly.
In January, gas provided the largest share of our electricity at 38.3%. Zero carbon sources accounted for 43% of our electricity, peaking at 87% on 1 January at 6am. 🍃 UK/Norwegian gas fields provided 61% of our gas and 69% was used in homes and businesses. 👇

Good vis of Singapore's emerging hydrogen economy & infrastructure. H2 sources can be flexible & logic applies to Wales, others. Ships/pipelines are used to move energy from A to their end-use in fuel cells, CHP, boilers at B. A staged, blended transition using today's gas infra.
