Our offshore energy resource is vast for our size. Wales’ territorial water area is the same as Germany’s.
We can profit & also dictate the rules of the great clean energy game which is underway - for our benefit.
Profits from the assets of Wales’ Crown Estate - worth £853m - currently go from Wales to the Treasury and the Royal Family.
📢 Wales should have control over our own natural resources, so that we can invest in our own communities.

6 years ago, planning permission for a wind turbine in Llanaelhaearn was refused. Because of the view.
By now, it would have paid for itself & created a £1.3m fund for the community. And cut carbon emissions, of course.

And our seas & land subsidise the Royal Family hugely through the Crown Estate.
Buckingham Palace, valued at around £1bn, sits in band H and is charged £1,828 by Westminster City Council, less than an average three-bedroom semi in Blackpool...46% of households in England will receive a bigger council-tax bill than the Palace.

It appears that GB Energy will have an office in Scotland, maybe a branch office in Wales, to somehow finance (not develop) offshore wind in 🏴&🏴 to fill UK’s coffers? Before somehow, sometime 🏴&🏴 benefit?

Yes, small states can grow their economies very quickly e.g. Ireland but Nordics, Baltics too.
And Wales has remarkable assets in a prime location next to huge markets against which it can e.g. raise bonds to invest in itself.
