On the 15th of August each year VJ Day is commemorated. We remember the 27 Battalions of Gurkhas that fought during the Burma campaign, involving roughly 35,000 soldiers. 9 Victoria Crosses were awarded to members of Gurkha Regiments for actions during the Campaign.
