We spent a few hours in #SellyOak last night, and tried to engage with 2 masked up young lads around the High Street. They didn't fancy a chat and we're detained after a foot chase through the park. We recovered a large machete along the route they ran through. 2 in custody!

Team 1 again with you again this afternoon. Not long after leaving the station the vehicle a suspected clone was seen. Search of the vehicle recovered a blade. Driver had no documentation allowing them to drive. #roomattheinnforone #custodyaccepting #lifeorknife

Team 1 out and about again today, when a 13 year old lad decided to run. As he did so he tried to dis guard a prohibited weapon thinking we wouldn’t find it. Luckily and for the safety of the community we did. Log 1837 090225 MM

Team 1 dedicated serious youth violence and knife crime team were deployed to #soho and surrounding areas. Officers spotted 3 young persons and upon interaction one male has run. Male detained knife recovered #birminghamsayno #lifeorknife

Team 2 assisted @ResponseWMP and @BrumCityWMP after reports of a knife point robbery. We located 2 males who matched the information provided by the victims, which led us on a foot chase! One of the males was tackled, and a 18 inch machete was recovered from him. Cell for 1!

Team 1 have had a very productive morning and afternoon today. 2 young persons arrested for 4 robberies. 1 male arrested for Theft from Motor Vehicles 1 male arrested for Bladed article. #lifeorknife # brumsayno

With regards to the knife, we're not permitted to post photgraphs of knives at the moment. At the point of the photo being taken, they had been removed from his person and placed into evidence containers.
