An incomparable masterpiece. Yamada's intimate attention to character acting is stunning, & the way it's edited to dart around in real time like the emotions is so relatable to the way I process and express (or don't) emotions. My mind busy, whirring, honing in. My body fidgeting

@GetInTheMecha Imo, the main theme is the whole accepting what you can't change, having courage to change what you can, & knowing the difference, thing. Follows on from prior Yamada's as a celebration of imperfection & expression, & as an extension of Heike's prayer for something unchangeable.

@Shahenshah_Chud Some of Yamada's favourite works include Trainspotting and Funeral Parade of Roses lol. She's also outright said how she likes the international nature of Science SARU.

Right wingers, stay away from Yamada's works.
Just got back from seeing "The Colors Within" in theaters. It's a wholesome and authentically Catholic movie with a devout protagonist who forms a synth rock band with her friends. It's also from the director of K-ON and I implore all right wing and Christian anime fans to see it
