Very sad to hear the news of Jim’s passing.
I’ve had several opportunities to work with Jim, including on my big league debut in 2018. He always welcomed me into the booth and treated me as a partner and not an outsider. He will be missed.
We mourn the passing of Jim Price, a treasured member of the Tigers organization for decades.
He spent all five years of his playing career wearing the Olde English ‘D’, including the 1968 World Series championship season.

So many emotions come into play when you lose someone you know on a professional and personal level. Les was one of the kindest human beings I have ever met. I’ll miss his random texts after a big win on the road, his story telling and just his genuine caring about my life.
We are saddened to report that our official scorer of 25 seasons, Les Caldwell, passed away yesterday at the age of 66. Our deepest sympathies to Les’s family and friends. The UPMC Park press box will not be the same without Les’s genuine personality and dedication.
