RIP Billy Joe Brockhouse. Had just a 28-29 record in football head coaching stints at Carrollton and North Greene and was an assistant in multiple sports at Alton and Edwardsville. But his was truly a legendary career. Great, great stories! Coach Brock will be missed.

Bad news for Jays. Great news for Mike and SIUE men's basketball. Not official yet, but looks like Waldo will join Cougars as assistant coach under Jon Harris. Harris was an all-stater under Waldo for Edwardsville Tigers in 1998.
We're disappointed that asst coach Mike Waldo is leaving our staff but thrilled for him & his new coaching opportunity. We wish Mike the best & thank him for his service to our program this summer. As advertised, he is absolutely one of the best guys in coaching! Good luck, Mike!

Stumbled upon this prep football trivia working a story – SIUE baseball coach Sean Lyons still holds 2A playoff record for passing yards in a game with 393 for Byron in 1994 semi. One of his pitchers, Tyler Hutchinson of Greenville, owns those marks in both 3A (645) and 4A (452).
