@ShaykhSulaiman Doesn’t sound like either Hamas or the IDF wants a ceasefire. Poor civilians, this is the case every time foreign powers fund arm and train militant organizations. The civilians on the ground pay the heaviest price while these “spokesmen” are always far away in luxury!

@TheOmniLiberal In fact, the US went to great lengths to make sure not to repeat the kind of peace agreement that brought a quick end to the Russo-Georgian war in 2008. It looked exactly like this one, with two breakaway republics, Bush & NATO giving assurances to Saakashvili, etc…
They learned their lesson from the Georgia War of 2008 when Russia invaded and Nicolas Sarkozy quickly negotiated a peace between then-president Medvedev and Saakashvili. And after the 22 war started, they made sure to block any similar peace agreements:

“Plans to rebuild Gaza in 3-5 years without displacing its population” Sounds like solid promises to me. But since when has that ever persuaded the USA to step aside? How about you ALL rebuild Gaza and give Gazans jobs? Give em something to lose, + disarm the militants totally!
BREAKING: Egypt reveals first details of its comprehensive proposal for the Gaza Strip, countering U.S. President Trump's plan to displace Gazans. Egyptian sources told Qatari Al-Araby TV that Cairo proposes a plan to rebuild Gaza within 3-5 years without displacing its population. The Egyptian proposal includes two stages to remove the rubble and rebuild residential complexes, starting from Rafah in southern Gaza and gradually advancing to the north of the Strip. This reconstruction plan will be carried out in cooperation between Arab countries, the European Union, and the United Nations. There are arrangements for holding a five-party summit between the leaders of Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Jordan ahead of the Arab summit in Cairo later this month, to reach a unified position over Gaza. The complete details of Egypt's Gaza reconstruction proposal are expected to be announced next week.
