***Arrest Made in Jackson’s Bakery Vandalism*** As a result of an investigation into the vandalism of Jackson’s Bakery, located at 614 Stone Road, on February 4, 2025, officers arrested Mike Leibenguth, 25, of Greece, NY. Leibenguth was charged with Criminal Mischief in the third degree.

***Recovered Stolen Vehicle – Four Arrested*** On February 5, 2025, at approximately 3:40 PM, officers responded to the 200 block of Greece Ridge Center Drive after an alert indicated a stolen vehicle in the area. Upon arrival, officers located the stolen 2011 Ford Escape and observed four individuals exiting the vehicle. The suspects were taken into custody without incident. The following individuals were arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th Degree and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle in the 3rd Degree: 🔴Terrence S. Miller, 25, of Rochester, NY 🔴Namari D. Starling, 25, of Rochester, NY 🔴Jesus E. Rivas Colon, 29, of Rochester, NY 🔴Andres Ortiz Jr, 41, of Rochester, NY All four individuals were processed and released on appearance tickets. The Greece Police Department remains committed to proactive policing, including using LPR technology to recover stolen vehicles and hold offenders accountable.

***Arrests Made Following Stolen Vehicle Recovery*** Today, at approximately 2:28 pm, officers from the Greece Police Department responded to alerts regarding two stolen Hyundais traveling on Dewey Avenue. The stolen vehicles were operating in tandem and when officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop both vehicles fled. The stolen vehicles turned onto Surrey Road, where one of the stolen vehicles lost control and drove off the roadway. The second stolen vehicle subsequently collided with the first. Following the crash, the juvenile occupants fled the scene on foot. Through quick coordination and teamwork, officers successfully apprehended three juveniles. All three suspects, 16-year-old residents of Rochester, were charged with: **Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 3rd Degree** **Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle in the 3rd Degree** The juveniles were released to their guardians with appearance tickets. Another case that highlights the effective use of License Plate Reader (LPR) technology combined with strong teamwork by our officers. These tools and strategies play a critical role in addressing vehicle thefts and reducing juvenile crime within our community.

***Arrests Made Following Stolen Vehicle Recovery and Firearm Recovery*** On January 31, 2025, at approximately 6:51 PM, officers responded to an alert regarding a stolen 2020 black Kia Sportage on West Ridge Road. Through coordinated efforts, officers successfully apprehended five juveniles who fled from the stolen vehicle. A 9mm "ghost gun" was recovered from within the stolen vehicle that was loaded with 10 rounds of ammunition. The five juveniles were charged as follows: 16-year-old, Hilton resident: Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd & 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd Degree, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle 3rd Degree. The juvenile was arraigned in Family Court and transported to secure detention. 16, 15, 15, and 14-year-olds, Greece residents: Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd Degree and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle 3rd Degree. One of the 15-year-old juveniles was also transported to secure detention. The other three were released to their guardians with appearance tickets. This investigation and arrests is another excellent example of how our department uses LPR technology and teamwork to address vehicle thefts, illegal firearms, and juvenile crime in our community.
