"The New York Times Editorial Board has taken a stance in support of Canadian truckers' right to protest, saying that peaceful demonstrations are a vital part of democracy.
@PaolaQP1231
They're not wrong. Hiring far too many public sector workers and then seeing them accomplish very little has been a major contributor to Canada's problems.
@TheoMoudakis
@TorontoStar
Except kids AREN'T asking the government to force them to cover their faces. Hypochondriacs and government workers are.
I'm against forcing surgical mask wearing because it's unscientific and harmful to our kids!
Getting to 100% EVs & plug-in Hybrids is a win-win-win for Canadians:
🧑🔧Save thousands of $ on fueling & maintenance
⚡️Save the planet & our lungs from harmful emissions
👷Support a robust EV supply chain in Canada
The EV Availability Standard drives us toward a better future.
@MikeHudema
What do polar bears, the Great Barrier Reef and the Maldive Islands all have in common?
They've each been used as proxies for evidence of human-caused "climate change" and each is thriving in current conditions.

I watched a 2016 debate with Trump and Clinton and left feeling like they both did well and it was pretty even.
The next day every news channel was saying, 'he couldn't even put a sentence together, pathetic..', 'she was incredibly articulate...'
After that I knew to listen
@monsanto2000
Today was my third day in Florida. Somehow three families squeezed into the hotel elevator on the way to the pool today instead of the typical two. Old people will pass you in the hallways and smile. Life carries on everywhere but Canada
@maxfawcett
As long as the carbon tax is fulfilling a need for income redistribution we should ignore the negative economic impacts and the fact that, as an environmental policy, it's a failure?
@KirkLubimov
For some reason they can't seem to get the pipe fixed and are now considering becoming more authoritarian - it's playing out just like the pandemic.
@edgarrmcgregor
Carbon dioxide does not cause forest fires.
It's terrible what happening in Lahaina but emotional, superstitious statements are just silly.
@alanfryermedia
It's hard to say the OTHER guy is ideological when you're the one claiming a tax on home heating will prevent bad weather and make us richer.
@ryangerritsen
Higgs sounds so narcissistic there; as though those "anti-maskers" don't have a right to hold a different opinion and peacefully share that opinion.
Like Doug Ford, Higgs is a pseudo-Conservative, happy to cave to the anti-science, left wing mob.
@_david_ho_
It's helpful that they didn't stop the count in the middle of the night with one candidate ahead and then the next morning tell everyone 5 million more mail in ballots showed up and they were all for the other candidate.
@TheBeaverton
So absurd and insulting to regular Canadians. To whatever extent your influence is, you're the reason for the negative polarization in Canada.
@KirkLubimov
It didn't occur to anyone doing screening at the border that this got wasn't a great fit for Canada?
Or he just wasn't screened at the border at all?
Or did know he was a terrorist but let him in anyway?
@RightOfEast
I think we should stop sending to cheques to Nova Scotia. If they don't want to be a part of Canada we can at least stop paying their bills
@gilmcgowan
Weren't the "vaxxed" firing the "unvaxxed" from their jobs despite not scientific justification?
If only those people had strong labour unions to advocate on their behalf...
@patgagnon_75
In reality Trudeau's policies have helped the rich more than any other group while Poilievre's will lead to more opportunities to everyone.
@mikethenavyguy
Imagine every question you were asked was a disingenuous gotcha.
And then every reporter asked the same question?
And then you found out they were all paid by the same guy?
@Tony__Heller
@GovMLG
Despite following "the science" New Mexico now has one of the highest new daily case rates in the developed world. It's almost like masks and total business closures aren't working.
@denisrancourt
For example, they used to say, "the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) does not recommend the use of masks by well individuals in pandemic situations, acknowledging that the mask has not been shown to be effective in such circumstances".
@erdocAA
"The number of hospital beds in Ontario has stayed effecively the same for 20 years while the province's population has grown by 3M. Ontario now has fewer acute care hospital beds per capita than any other province... on par with Mexico, and half the U.S."
@lsf58
Alberta, by paying more federal taxes per capita than any other province, effectively subsidizes any federal program. It is always better off creating it's own analogous program than to accept a federal one.
@acoyne
I don't think the effectiveness of N95s was ever in question (when properly fit test and worn).
It's when they forced us to wear surgical masks or a homemade bandana that reasonable people were compelled to dissent.
@RosemaryGanley1
Disgraces? The protesters were right to demand an end to the unprecedented, unscientific virus mitigation efforts once it was clear the virus wasn't a major risk.
Or do you feel people shouldn't carry a Canadian flag while holding a political opinion differing from your own?
@JimChuong
It's unfortunate for aspiring homeowners that people who took too much debt chasing a speculative investment will end up being saved by banks who are just trying to save themselves.
@Martyupnorth_2
A family member, in his 60s, who had a great job his whole life told me:
"What difference does it make how much the government borrows, it's not like they ever have to pay it back."
(he was an enthusiastic Trudeau voter)
@maxfawcett
You're overlooking the added costs to businesses, which aren't rebated, that are passed on to consumers via higher prices. In a time where the central bank is having trouble controlling rising prices!
@DFisman
"Most hospitalizations are considered to be incidental at 59 per cent, meaning those patients were not admitted for COVID-19, but have since tested positive."
"There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics."

@maxfawcett
Do you mean the only possible way to "ensure today's young people have the same economic opportunities" is to raise taxes after massively increasing federal spending?
Are you sure debt, high taxes and big government are the recipe for success?
@mikesbloggity
Surgical masks preventing children from catching a cold is pseudoscience. You sound like a relic of medieval times still arguing the planets and sun orbit the earth.
