I am from Karasburg, because of the proximity of to Upington, I knew of women who would travel there to terminate pregnancies. You can terminate at the Dr. Harry Surtie Hospital by making an appointment a few days ahead. It cost around N$750 and they don't send Namibians away.

The horseback procession is always part of the funeral of a Nama Chief. Usually the men on horses represent the different Nama nations, but quite often OvaHerero tribes join the horse riding too because of our shared history. This was Berseba yesterday.

This week I spoke teachers, friends, family of Magdalena Stoffels and Cheryl Avihe. It's not lost on me that sharing their stories comes with great pain. As such, I want to tell their stories with respect and dignity it deserves. May we never stop saying their names.
