I 100% agree with him. SotD was a perfect "one off". A stand alone story that doesn't need a sequel. We need more individual films not less. We especially don't need late sequels, which just digs up old properties to ruin them.

Its not just about remaking old IPs anymore, its about destroying the old ones to replace with a "new BETTER!" version.
They can't come up with new ideas, so they do their best to ruin/mock the old ones. If something must be rebooted, why is it so hard to respect the source?
