I am beyond thrilled to celebrate the appointment of Rtn. Dr. Michael Atingi-Ego as the Governor of Bank of Uganda, Rtn. Prof. Augustus Nuwagaba as the Deputy Governor, and Mr. Collin Babirukamu as the Chief Information Officer. As passionate Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Muyenga, their dedication to the core values of Rotary, namely service, leadership, integrity, diversity, and fellowship, has been truly inspiring. These appointments are a testament to the commitment that Rotary instills in all of us through our vocations.

Others have scaled Mt.Kilimanjaro but I scaled my highest hill in Kisoro where the Rotary Club of Mgahinga Kisoro have helped provide much needed water to a village. Today together with the Rotary club of Ibanda we handed over a Colposcope, a machine that helps with the screening of cervical cancer at Ruhooko Health Centre IV. Of the 121 women screened so far 21 were found positive. 18 of these women have already been successfully treated, while the other 3 are continuing with treatment. Thank you for your giving to The Rotary Foundation that enables such projects via Global grants and are impacting our communities and saving lives. @RCibanda

This afternoon the DG @Agnes_Batengas visited @RCMbararaEast and launched an incinerator constructed by the club at Katonjo primary school as well planted a tree at the school to commemorate plant your balance signature project.

Today the Rotary club of Ibanda hosted the District Governor @Agnes_Batengas where we a coloposcope was donated at Ruhoko health center 4. The coloposcope is used for screening cervical cancer. This is the magic of Rotary
