@DanielMillerEsq Well…what makes people gravitate towards powerful leaders? -letting the government convince your child they’re not the sex they are? -weaponizing the IRS against people who live on minimum wage and tips? -taxation that destroys small businesses, farmers, and manufacturers? Yes.

It did the following: -Tripled premiums -Increased the profits of insurance companies by +1000% -Put small rural hospitals out of business -Destroyed small/medium family medicine practices in underserved areas; thus, destroying Black America’s access to healthcare #Obama #ACA
Fourteen years ago today, I signed the Affordable Care Act into law. Afterwards, one Republican member of the House called the ACA the “most dangerous piece of legislation ever passed in Congress.” Another predicted the country would “never recover from it.” But then something else happened: it actually worked.

@jbcarmody There doesn’t need to be a “match” lottery system anymore. Advancements in the internet have definitely made it obsolete, and in many ways cruel and unusual to screw with peoples’ lives this way.

@l_o_v_e_truth @jbcarmody What’s not professional is using a lottery system to mess with people’s livelihood. There should be no “match” system.

@statsigfig @olsonplanner Or taking a loan to start a practice on top of $500k in debt for school, or taking another loan to buy-in to a practice.

@statsigfig @olsonplanner Before you respond, in the US, a truck driver does 4yrs of high school and passes a driver’s course. A US physician does 4yrs of HS, 4yrs of undergrad, 4yrs of medical school, and 3-7yrs of residency, and 1-2yrs of fellowship. They should be paid more than truck drivers.

@BertFaafp @SarahASantiago If you paid a resident at the rate of an average nurse, for 80hrs per week, then the resident would get paid $172,800 before taxes. Instead, they are making $13/hr. A nurse assistant makes that after a month of training. It’s not right and you know it.

@SarahASantiago GME programs get compensated $180000 per resident per year. They can definitely afford to pay residents $100000 a year at least.

The House of Medicine needs to work relentlessly to ban mid level practitioners from the operating room. Patients do not deserve to be cut on by mid levels who are being used to prolong the careers of shaky-handed surgeons past their time. Retire. #MedTwitter

@aribindi @OsaidesserMD @DanielDent6 @ICSUSS Exactly, and this “new” way to grade residents harder, while holding them hard-fast as pgy-4’s or else does nothing to fix that issue.

@EdWorkforceCmte @virginiafoxx @RepBurgessOwens @RepGrothman @RepGregMurphy @henryrodgersdc @DailyCaller Do taxpayers know that MEDICARE dollars from the taxpayers are being used to preferentially hire socialist foreign physicians into residency programs over US medical school graduates? Taxpayers should not be responsible for paying foreign physicians salaries to replace our own.

@DailyCaller @EdWorkforceCmte @henryrodgersdc Why are MEDICARE dollars (that fund residency programs) being used to hire foreign graduates, when not all US graduates are getting jobs?! Taxpayers don’t know this yet, but the federal gov is replacing US med school grads with foreign socialists on the taxpayer’s dime!
