This is incredibly disappointing news to say the least from @MLS. Clubs like ours dream of the opportunity to compete against the top competition and have worked so hard to try and make that dream a reality. That dream is now shattered.
NEW: On Friday afternoon, #MLS announced that it will have its Next Pro developmental teams participate in the 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup instead of its first teams. The league will reassess participation for future iterations next winter. Report:
