This was my first international trip. It was back then in 2019. I was invited on a fullly sponsored trip to teach young people how to generate income using their WhatsApp in The Gambia. When the flight took off, I was a bit afraid, LOL. I would look down from the sky into the clouds and thought “what if this plane falls?” At some point, I took my mind off my reading some books I took with me. At another time, the flight attendants were serving food. I thought I had to pay for it 😂 Anyways, as a prosper Nigerian sharp boy, I waited and saw how others did and followed suite. That journey changed and expanded my mind. I saw the possibilities of how one’s skills and knowledge can take him across waters and seas. I knew that if I continued to develop my skills and knowledge, I would travel the world. To God be the glory, my journey didn’t stop there. I have since then traveled to other countries and still counting. If there is anything you should learn from this post, it’s that you should believe in God and yourself. Believe in God by trusting and praying to Him and believe in yourself by loving and developing yourself in knowledge and skills. Just failed one of my exams — I failed the exam on Strategy and Planning. I passed the exam on Commercial Intelligence with a Distinction. I’ll be preparing better to pass with distinction. Having a FAIL and a DISTINCTION on the same day literally reminds me of how life is. Life is ups and downs and we must learn to accept the downs, learn from it and prepare hard to be better.
Excited to begin my journey to becoming a Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) professional digital marketing diploma holder in the UK. I’ve been a self trained digital marketer for 5+ years and I’m excited to finally get a diploma on it. I’m hoping to learn, unlearn, relearn and share my beautiful journey with y’all here. Today, I had the pleasure of attending the CIM Sustainable Marketing Event in Belfast, and it was truly insightful!
