💜Heart Failure and it’s Comorbidities (connected conditions)💜 Heart failure doesn't always occur in isolation. Many patients also face other health challenges, such as diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease and more. These comorbidities can complicate treatment and impact quality of life. It's crucial to manage all aspects of health to improve outcomes. This ❤️ month we are talking to four clinicians across 3 different disease areas to get their perspectives on health and connected conditions, what are the risks, the symptoms and how those at risk can protect themselves to lead a fulfilling life. Let's raise awareness and support those living with heart failure and its connected conditions 💜   #staytuned #HeartFailure #HFComorbidities #HeartHealth

At @GlobalHeartHub we are passionate about advocacy in action and so this year our Patient Community Development Exe. Joanna Ten-Kate attended the Global Health: Advocacy and Diplomacy in Action course at the University of Geneva @unige_en Summer Schools in July, where she deepened her understanding of global health policy, advocacy, and diplomacy. Speaking about the course Joanna said, “I am excited to leverage these insights and skills in my role at Global Heart Hub, ensuring that the voices of patients affected by heart disease are not only heard but actively shape health policies”. Well done Joanna and thank you for all your hard work.

At Global Heart Hub we strongly believe in the continuous training and up-skilling of our team, both to enhance their own skills and knowledge, but also to adapt to ever-changing needs of the patient community landscape. This year Global Heart Hub Operations Manager David Kelly graduated from the EUPATI Patient Expert Training Programme as part of the 7th cohort of trainees. Well done on this achievement David. We are confident the knowledge gained will be put to good use.

Our Executive Director Neil Johnson represented @GlobalHeartHub at CVCT - Cardiovascular Clinical Trialists Forum in #Washington yesterday, where he attended a powerful & inspirational session on #Women in #CVD #Clinicaltrials. Globally, women with #CVD #HeartDisease are underserved - one reason being they are under studied & under represented in clinical research. But the issue is much bigger that that - Systemic #Sexism, #Inequity and #Patriarchy is pervasive in the #CVD #ClinicalResearch community. #PatientVoice has the potential to be the disrupter. All stakeholders, need to stand up and be counted. GHH is committed to bringing #PatientPower to this issue.
