I am extremely excited to announce that I will be the Strength and Conditioning coordinator at Glenwood High School. Although I won't be in the classroom or coaching anymore, I cannot wait to be able to help all of our athletes and teams to improve and perform at an elite level!

Yesterday’s Girls 2A Cross Country State Championship marks the first time in Glenwood history that two teams have won a state championship in the same calendar year. Unbelievably proud of what our kids and coaches have accomplished, but we’re nowhere close to done yet.

People won’t realize how big of a deal this is, but the boys track team just qualified all four relays to the state track meet in the biggest class in Illinois, at a dog of a sectional. So pumped for the amazing athletes and coaching staff!!!

Just turned in my final paper for my Master's program, and it's such a feeling of accomplishment. Me two years ago would not believe this statement in the slightest. Legitimately never thought I'd see the day where I would be getting a Master's Degree.

Early last week, I told sophomore Carter Downen that we would probably have to drop a second off of our seed time if we wanted to place in the 4x200. Without hesitation, he said, "Oh yeah, we can do that." We did. He ends this season as an All-State athlete.

Sophomore Sal Sgro didn't run in a single track meet his freshman year. He had a great cross country season and came into the track season with a determination that was obvious to everyone. He put in the work every single day. He ends the season All-State in the 4x200.

I love and miss my guys more than most people would understand. Heartbroken for our seniors who won’t get to wear the G again. Disappointed for our juniors who were going to put some recruit-worthy marks up. I really thought we’d surprise some people around the state this season.

Caleb Steber has been a workhorse for our program since the first day of his freshman year. With crazy range and speed, he was utilized everywhere. When the baton was in his hands, we knew we had a chance. He leaves our program as an All-State athlete in the 4x200 and 4x400.

I’ve seen a lot of XC courses, and I may be biased, but the Glenwood High School XC course may be one of the fastest and definitely one of the most spectator-friendly courses in the state of Illinois. Time to host more meets here!

Our guys take turns recording each other's races during meets so we can post them to our YouTube page. When going through the videos, nothing makes me happier than seeing our upperclassmen going crazy for our younger guys when they are competing. I love our team.

Sophomore Jake Hamilton had never run track before this year. When he showed up for practice the first day, it was obvious that he was going to contribute. Three weeks in, he pulled his hamstring. He did everything right to get healthy. He led off our All-State 4x400 in 49.88.
