I have written to Jenny Harries of UKHSA as I am alarmed about yesterdays announcement on future #Covid_19 vaccination campaigns

I went onto my Gp’s appointment booking system ANIMA at 10.30 a.m. to try to get my husband an appointment. The message I received was essentially sod off ie. We are processing requests at more than the safe level we can handle. Please call 111 or 999 if it is an emergency.

@EvonneTCurran @UKHSA Yep spot on - people are becoming seriously ill/dying because of it; and when they try to get round it by taking portable HEPAs into hospital they are told they can't. Oh and the Secretary of State for Health says his top priority is prevention. What kind of mad world is this

What worries me is a civil servant would never write something flippant like ‘you should not believe everything you see on social media’ at least when I worked in Whitehall they wouldn’t. But it may have been written by a political advisor of course and not him.

I am suspicious because of the American method of referencing time zones in an earlier tweet from them. I am also suspicious that it is not on other platforms
