Actually, it's sort of a "To each his own" kind of situation. Trader A might always target 1:3 and would always only want Tp or SL. Because he feels anything like BE,partials would ruin the RR. Whereas B likes those things. What ever works for your strategy and rules.
I don't like it when people make SL or TP look like the best and those that don't do it look like they're doing something bad or a bad trading psychology

That's a trader who has rules I like.
The trade I took this morning up till now has not hit my Stop loss or Take profits. It’s just there dancing around! Guess what I’ll do to it? I’ll leave it to run till it hit one of those. That’s what I do to all my trades. You’re either a Stop Loss Trade or a Take Profits trade.
