@TurkishAirlines horrific experience! You sold us business class seats for $11,058 on May 18th. During booking on Expedia it said I had to call the airline to select seats. I called Turkish Airlines immediately after. The lady I spoke to said we had rows 4 MIA-IST, Row 4 IST-ATH, row 5 ATH-IST and row 4 IST-MIA. Everything was fine until IST-MIA flight. I tried checking in the day before and it said could not check in because seats were not available. Regardless we checked in at counter and boarded in Athens with a transfer pass (no boarding pass) for our 3 year old for IST-MIA and the mom and dad being seated on different rows. We thought surely once in Istanbul the gate agent would fix our seats, and give our baby the seat we paid thousands of dollars for. No such courtesy or justice. We were greeted by an unqualified young kid working the gate. He gave us a seat for our 3 year old, in a row separate yet again from the two of us, who were still also seated separately. He said it was out of his control and nothing he could do. He said first for us to directly ask other customers to move. Then he said maybe airplane staff would help. He didn’t look much older than 21 years. He said it was not his problem if the 3 year old had to sit by herself, for a 13 hour flight. In business class. We are now in the plane and still not resolved, standing around waiting for help while luggage areas fill up. This is outrageous. What will you do ?
