"AIMS looks forward to a time when we no longer talk much about a continuity of carer model of care, because this will be the standard model of care offered to all women and families." #AIMScontinuity #ContinuityofCarer @KaylaMarls @millihill @MaryNewburn1

🧐 Surely not. Is this even possible, @stevenpleasant1 ?
I have a copy of the Burn Book, also known as Trigger Me Timbers. In a group chat, the Audenshaw local election result was discussed. The vote was extremely close. As we counted on the night, we believed our candidate, Daniel Mather, may have won. However, during the verification process, the results told a different story—and now we know why. Cllr. George Newton informed the group that Cllr. Brenda Warrington, the former Leader of the Council, instructed a staff member to “find votes.” Andrew Gwynne confirmed that she did this. George then boasted, “83 of them”— the exact number by which Daniel Mather lost. It is alleged that votes were removed from Hurst Labour candidate Cllr. Leigh Drennan, who subsequently lost to Councillor Dan Costello. It was well known that Brenda and Leigh did not see eye to eye. The integrity of elections is fundamental to public trust in democracy. Here, we have an open admission from Denton Labour that they rigged an election. There must be serious consequences, including criminal charges.

Yes! Thank you to everyone who speaks up for #ContinuityofCarer in maternity. This model of relational care is fundamental to a #SafePersonalEquitable maternity service. Let's do it! Welsh statement is also notable for its care around choice of place of birth👍
"Women receive dedicated support from the same midwifery team throughout their pregnancy in line with the continuity of carer model." Good to see in new "Quality statement for maternity and neonatal services" - presented in @SeneddWales today. Because #ContinuityMatters

⤵️Ah - I didn't know this. I regularly hear midwives talk of importance of protected status of job title 'midwife'. I'd assumed this sort of protected status was the case across the board for regulated health care professional roles @TPM_Journal @radmidassoc @AIMS_online
Registered nurses struck off by the NMC can continue to call themselves "nurse" MPs are told as @DawnButlerBrent seeks to get the title legally protected after the @protectnurse campaign

@birth_better Wonderful to hear Nikki today at #LMMF25 - great speaker, fantastic content. Powerful stuff on what you're learning as you deliver training. Is there an AIMS Journal article in this? It seems really important to get this on the (written) record, @AIMS_online

@jenny_spriggs Brilliant to have your update at #LMMF25 this morning. Thanks to you and the team on your work. We'll never crack 'workforce' if this issue isn't addressed. What are the CMO and RCM doing to help, please? #SayNoToBullyingInMidwifery

@MichaelLCrick Useful new-to-me info here. Hadn't picked up that Andrew created the group. Outstanding qs: who leaked content, and do we have full list of members? And would it be useful if all MP led local WhatsApp groups were made accessible to their constituents?

@MichaelLCrick In Tameside - also known here as Shameside - there's much knowledge of 'dirty tricks'/ look the other way strategies of key local labour people. On discovering this, I assume this is risk of single party dominated council areas. Time for PR at the local level?

@wendyolayiwola Thank you very much for sharing this, Wendy. Pl update me: how important is relational care (midwifery continuity of carer) to this agenda? Did CORE20+5 jump too early on this? Latest NHS-E analysis of CQC survey data suggests not, but very keen to hear your view🙏

@sheena_byrom Can TPM cover this new analysis please? 🙏
⬇️Thanks to Marylou & @uclh. With new data from NHS England last year - showing step change in maternity care quality where 'full dose' midwifery continuity of carer is achieved - surely it's negligent for Trusts to delay building teams in this way?

@khazaezadeh Hi Nina, Good to see you mention CQC survey results today as a key measure of 3 Yr Delivery Plan. Latest survey analysis show step change in satisfaction with care where full pathway continuity of carer is in place. Wd be good to know how that's impacting your focus

Do the revelations about the now infamous WhatsApp group, which @GwynneMP was part of, say something about the broader culture of @Tameside_Lab? There's a wider story here. @AngelaRayner is also in Tameside - I'm surprised @bbclaurak didn't raise this today. Also @jreynoldsMP.

@AIMS_online @uclh @AmandaPritchard Did this data ever get to your desk? It sits in the NHS Futures Hub. And what are you doing to ensure that its key message is being communicated, for #SafeEquitablePersonal maternity services?
