The Global Investor Commission on Mining 2030, whose members control some $15 trillion dollars’ worth of funds, issued a report this month calling for investors to work to improve the performance of land-based mining while casting aspersions on #deepseamining and “the potential for seabed mining to irreversibly alter or destroy marine ecosystems”. This comes on the heels of @Apple endorsing a moratorium on deep-sea mining and the announcement by @DeutscheBank that it will not invest in #deepseamining over the past few weeks #defendthedeep @DeepSeaConserve
