I have a friend whonhas chronic and extremely painful endometriosis. She has been refused a hysterectomy many times "as she might change her mind". She is an adult human female now in her 40s. If she was a child saying she was dysphoric then maybe the outcome would be different.

Russell you are quoting outdated information, the ministry has revised those comments. They also acknowledge there is very little data re PBs. There *are* studies that show permanent damage (sterilisation) so thats why noone is saying "safe and reversible" any more.
