If the stay at home orders that are coming are going to massively change the way you've been living your social life lately, it's quite likely you're the reason we're going to get more stay at home orders 🙃
I feel so bad for the megaplex staff. I'm already sorry for the stress they're about to undergo with having to run a convention amidst the height of another covid wave, with no solid state legislation behind them to enforce safety guidelines. Please be patient and understanding.
Potentially unpopular opinion:
Rushing to registration Thursday is a waste of time and buys you exactly nothing except burning a few hours waiting in a line.
Walked right up at noon on Friday for MFF. Didn't miss out on a single thing.
Now that anthrocon is no longer holding the crown for largest furry convention in the world, can we please start to actually evaluate how it runs now that we're looking beyond veil of "it's the biggest so that makes it the best"?
@AllWheelDog
this happens literally every year
what if, we just, wrapped the poles in something waterproof for the weekend, and this entire discourse goes away with a single pair of scissors
I think it's high time we redesign the rest of Ghimno, he needs a little bit of an update :>
I'm real happy with his head/tail/pawbs, but I think his body is a little plain and could use some updates~
Please remind yourself that running a convention is a volunteer effort, and they wouldn't exist without the staff's countless hours of work and labor put into something with zero expectation of return.
True midwestern hospitality is cleaning for 5 hours immediately before company arrives and apologizing profusely for "how dirty everything is" despite being spotless
Weird thought:
I have a lot of good memories while fursuiting. Looking back on them, I don't ever remember them from the perspective of being in suit. No lack of vision or heat exhaustion.
