בזמן שאנחנו כולנו כואבים וזועמים על העינויים, ההרעבה וההזנחה הרפואית שעברו החטופים בידי חמאס, בל נשכח שמצבם של רבים מהאסירים והחטופים ("עצורים מנהליים") הפלסטינים אינו יותר טוב (כ-60 מהם מתו בכלא, ולא בהפצצות או בנסיבות טבעיות). שלא לדבר על ההרעבה של המוני פלסטינים בעזה, בהם עשרות ילדים שמתו בשל כך.
