Died #OTD 1806 Admiral Samuel Hood, Viscount Hood. Before his elevation to the Lords he sat as MP for Westminster and Reigate. Made an Irish baron in 1782, in 1796 he was promoted to a British peerage with a seat in the Lords. #twitterstorians #HistParl
