Im absolutely shattered! But what an amazing day yesterday. The boys were awesome, 57,000 questions, bad jokes and they grassed their mum up on everything, and her mum was so friendly and welcoming… I think I passed the test 🙌

So cancer surgery update: I’m going to have an e tended right hemi-Colectomy… removing all the right side of my bowel tube between the markers, the dot is where my tumour is. Roughly 14-16inches. Keyhole surgery early to mid September all being well… fun times! 💚

And that’s it! 4 months post op and the wound has finally healed!! I can go swimming again! The feeling of just having the freedom is nothing but underrated.

Good news so far is bloods look healthy, still leaking loads of gunk but nowhere near as bad as last nights river flow. CT scan at some point to locate the pool and another course of antibiotics… suspect a few days in will be required.

Finally have an answer as to why my infection indicators are up, they’ve found a huge blood pool near my stomach on a scan today… drain now in, absolute mess what’s coming out 🤢 but it’s good news! I can now start moving forward and hopefully home soon!
