@giovanni_ulleri I’m truly sorry to hear this. In an ideal world, we would have at least one LD liaison nurse and a team of healthcare support workers in each hospital as a minimum. Sadly, we still have a long way to go! I hope lessons were learnt from your experience

We're helping transform the lives of young adults with special educational needs and disabilities through a groundbreaking new partnership to launch a supported internship programme. We're proud to be the first employer in the county to champion DFN Project SEARCH - a national transition-to-work programme for students with a learning disability and/or autism spectrum conditions. The programme allows 16 to 24-year-old students who hold an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) to gain valuable work experience within a hospital setting, empowering them to take their first positive steps into the world of work.
