I feel like initially the discourse around wuthering waves will be much more focused on what it does bad rather than what it does well, and that's a bit sad.

I think the mixed reception is due to one simple fact: Theater has a different audience target than the Abyss.
People who like the Abyss clear it over and over again to push the limits of their fav characters, while Theater feels like a completely opposite experience
Imaginarium Theater is variety, which is the spice of life. Spiral Abyss has been a free-for-all for 4 years, so applying strategy & character mgmt to "IT" by contrast makes sense imo. It also gives you something to strive for, on a monthly basis, w/ building new characters.

I don't think Genshin is a children game, however I believe that Genshin largely cathers to people that don't usually play games much more now that it became so mainstream
It's not a bad thing, honestly Genshin wouldn't have had the same success if they were more "restrictive"
A lot of people take offense to this, but if you disagree you are 100% wrong objectively:
Genshin Impact is a Children's Game and there is nothing wrong with that.
Genshin Impact is a very vibrant very colorful world much like fortnite another game aimed towards children.

In Wuthering Waves you have to counter and beat opponents through tech and skill mainly. Characters and teams matter, but to a lesser extent compared to Genshin
In Genshin you can counter those same aspects much more by team building
Here's why your wrong:
Combat isn't strictly dictated by what you do as a player, it also heavily depends on what you fight and what challenges you must overcome
Genshins fights are 99% target dummies or dps checks
Wuthering Waves fights you have to be active and involved

Combat System is actually the best aspect of the game aside from the music. Elemental reactions feel great and are deep mechanically. Characters kits designs almost always have great focus and reward players who have good knowledge about the mechanics

Ok played Wuthering Waves for around 7 hours and this is by far the coolest thing I've experienced. Instead of having an artifact system, you absorb the monsters you kill (Echos) and use them in the typical artifact slots.

I understand if people want to follow CN opinions and suggestions, because there are amazing CN players, but if you're going to use those to disrespect western work all the time, that's just biased, annoying, and weird behavior
I also think that the culture we have around worshipping CN theorycrafting is incredibly toxic considering that a lot of NA and EU TCers will get it right the first time and CN will later copy what NA/EU did, and get all the credit. Don't glaze, CN is human like the rest of us 💀

For example if they give characters new abilities at lv 100, and we get a new abyss floor to match the increased cap.
On the other, what could happen is just increased stats + talents, and they simply raise the average lv of floor 12 enemies :P
