Just when I thought 2020 couldn't get any worse, I hear Eddie Van Halen has passed. So shocking- One of the nicest, down to Earth men I have ever met and toured with. A true gent and true genius. RIP. So sad.Thoughts go out to his brother Alex, and his family.
Shocked to hear of the sudden death of Jeff Beck. Truly one of the greats. First time I saw him was in 1966 with the Yardbirds. Brilliant, unique guitarist. RIP
Sad to hear of Tina Turner passing. I saw her on her first major tour, supporting The Rolling Stones at Birmingham Odeon on 1966 & became an instant fan. RIP
My 96 yr old mom has been a tireless advocate for Black Lives and a ruthless critic of racism her whole life. Proud, as always, to stand with her today.
Thank you to the doctors, nurses, hospital workers, front liners, first responders, teachers mailmen and women, for getting us through and being there for us in 2020.
Really sad to hear of the passing of Martin Birch. Brilliant producer. Had the pleasure of working with him on the Black Sabbath albums

I was recently asked about the bass played during Live Aid. Yes, I still have it - It's a custom BC Rich, only ever played it at Live Aid - I whacked my thumb on that sharp edge, and could hardly play the bloody thing, it went right into my nerve and my whole hand went numb.
Sad to hear of Leslie West’s passing. Such a lovely bloke. He was fantastic to us when Sabbath supported Mountain on our first US tour. He came to see us at Mohegan Sun, even though he was wheelchair bound. Mississippi Queen one of, if not the, greatest riff of all time. RIP
That was the most nervous I've been since the final Sabbath show - Martinez the miracle man! Well done,
@AVFCofficial
, you did it! Lille fans were fantastic too.

This news did shock me today. I've been a fan since I saw the Stones at the Birmingham Town Hall in 1964. RIP Charlie, thanks for the great music and memories.
Sad to hear of John Mayall’s passing. His album with Eric Clapton as the Blues Breakers inspired tons of British bands. Safe to say without that album there probably wouldn’t be a Black Sabbath and definitely not a Polka Talk Blues Band! RIP John Mayall, thanks for the
Thanks to

today for the great hospitality, and of course the 3-1 win over Wolves. Great send off for legend Gary Shaw especially from the Holte End, who were louder than ever today!! Nice catching up with Steve Stride and Nigel Kennedy. Onwards and upwards

This year keeps getting worse. Pete Way, one of the “characters” of metal and fellow

supporter has passed. He supported Deadland Ritual on the show in London. Very funny man. RIP Pete.
