Right before this I got a call that my cousin was being rushed into surgery in a Hail Mary to save her life.
I didn’t know what to do, so I just…went to my audition & trusted myself to just do my best.
My cousin was released from the hospital yesterday.
And I booked the part.
I’m really good at compartmentalizing when life happens. But yesterday I showed to an audition, no headshot, resume, or script because I’m literally in “doing my best” mode right now. They didn’t have to be, but they were super chill about my flub.
I really needed that kindness.

I’m really good at compartmentalizing when life happens. But yesterday I showed to an audition, no headshot, resume, or script because I’m literally in “doing my best” mode right now. They didn’t have to be, but they were super chill about my flub.
I really needed that kindness.

One of my goals this year was to increase my acting opportunities and build an on camera resume. Sure it’s the end of Oct, and sure I didn’t start auditioning for on camera work until Aug, but tomorrow I start filming on my second short of the year. Small steps are still steps👏
