Just to clarify on my name:
I do NOT use the name I was assigned at birth. When I became a trans woman I changed my name to “Becky”. When I became a transracial black folk, I “blackified” my name to Beckquisha.
Hope that clears up any confusion.

I am SO thankful that I was able to help one of the heteronormative white boys in my class realize she’s a transracial black/trans woman like myself. I offered that she could stay with me if her parents give her any flack.

I can’t WAIT for school to start back up next week. I’ll be passing out a survey to my white kids and asking them to answer “Yes” or “No” if their parents are Trump supporters. That way if they prefer to use neopronouns I can keep them a secret from their parents. 😁 SO EXCITED!

Yes, I do have an inherent racial bias when I call on students in my class. I tend to pick my fellow black kids if their hand is raised over a white kid, but we need to ELEVATE and NOT further segregate.

I’ve deducted an entire letter grade from the white student’s grade. Oppression is NOT welcome in my classroom.
