THE LOST ART OF READING PHILOSOPHY You are in the .01% of people if you actually read philosophy books (for yourself). Too many people let guru’s and AI think for them. Too many people: - are gluttons for information and facts. - don’t use their minds to think, but consume.

I used to say “You’re making me feel this way.” Now I say “What do I get from creating this feeling?” Your feelings are in you. No one "makes" you feel anything. You are the creator of your emotions. Take responsibility for your creations.

You can't agree or disagree with a writer before you understand what they are saying. Good thinking demands you know the perspective (the argument) of someone else, before you judge it. If you can't re-create someone else's argument precisely, you don't fully understand them.
