Each of the exactly 215 drops of blood in my image represents an Indigenous child whose remains were found at a Kamloops Residential school run by the Catholic church/funded by the Canadian govt. Blood remains on their hands.

Editorial is such a beautiful form of illustration where the artist can express creative autonomy by making personalized images that evoke sophisticated engagement from the viewer. It’s such a shame these corporations figured out a way to exploit the craft.
