A nonprofit public grocer would be competing with profit-motive private grocers, and people can choose the cheaper, but less-nice option But by all means keep being needlessly dismissive

Today I announced my Monthly Grocery Rebate to put money back in people’s pockets and offset the skyrocketing cost of groceries under Doug Ford. All across the province, people are fed up with paying too much for basics like bread, rice, oil, vegetables, and more. As Premier, I’ll actually do something about it, with a plan to help millions of Ontarians pay for the essentials, stop price gouging, and keep big box grocery stores accountable to the people. Posting stuff like this, @NDP? This is deeply unserious. Look to the effective solutions the @bcndp has put forward, you don't have to resort to peddling in borderline conspiracy theories.
The federal NDP, on housing, deals in this kind of nonsense. Meanwhile the BC NDP have the smartest and most pragmatic approach of any government in North America.

in the Harper years, conservatives fought tooth and nail to get a carbon tax over other options like cap and trade. Harper himself supported a carbon tax Its so unfortunate we're letting ideas that are supposed to take us to the future rot at the hands of nearsighted selfishness

@EricDLombardi @ddebow #8 - where would we expand these suburban SFH's into? The Greenbelt? As a Biology teacher, I'd love to have a conversation with you about the hidden costs developing the greenbelt would have (e.g. wetlands flood protection effects). There's economic value in conservation.
