When you have feelings for someone and its not reciprocated, you naturally feel some sort of resentment and/or anxiety about that person. It seems to be permanent even if you lose those feelings. Basing this off of my own experiences as well as others around me.

It's really sad because even if you want to exist around someone like this, it's very hard due to the emotional burden it has on you. This can lead you to thinking "why do I have to feel this way" or other thoughts that put the blame on yourself. (2/3)

And from there, you can start to hate yourself for even having these feelings which leads to a vicious cycle of depression and self-loathing.
