We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our former Club Captain and Past President Danno Heaslip. A Wegian to the core, he was a legend in our lifetime who will be greatly missed by one and all. Our deepest condolences to all the family. May you rest in peace Danno.

We sincerely regret to announce the passing earlier today of our Past President Vinny O'Sullivan. So suddenly and ironically so soon after his good friend Roddy O'Driscoll who we also lost earlier this week. Two Galwegians to the core and gentlemen through and through. RIP.

We announced earlier today that @Brownetown87 was moving on from Wegians, so now you know why and where. We can't thank him enough for his time with us, just such a shame it was so disrupted and cut short. But we wish him every success in his new role with @connachtrugby 👏.
Andrew Browne is a familiar face to supporters, playing 156 times across an 11 year career after coming through the Connacht Academy. Since ending his career he has gained valuable coaching experience, as Head Coach for Galwegians RFC & Assistant Coach to the Connacht U19s.
