@DavidKummer7 As a writer myself, (five books; three published) I appreciate the notion of paying homage. The physical representation of my entire past is gone. Lowell Elementary? Gone. Manly Junior High? Pffft. Male High still exists, but not at Brook & Breckinridge.

@DavidKummer7 Yeah, a bit. Some of the businesses in Glennville are named after stores in my old neighborhood of Highland Park. Mohawk Drugs, Duckie's Ice Cream Parlor, Shacklette's Department Store and so on. They're all gone, lost to the airport expansion project.

The yellow house with the broken fence is home to the mayor of Glennville. That's according to my wife. Before she offered that, I had no idea who lived there. And there's the Glennville Trolley.
