New polling data of party affiliation suggests NPP is losing its base to NDC while some have now become floating voters and others now say they belong to other parties. NPP base has declined from 37% as at November 2024 to 21% in February, while NDC base has increased from 33% to 55%. The proportion of voters who refuse to disclose their party affiliations drops drastically from 10% to 3% and appear to belong to NDC all along by majority according to the poll. This data will be updated in 10 days to include Greater Accra. The size of your party affiliation is key in winning the next election. Tracking of this data will continue to 2028.

NPP in trouble in the Ashanti region as a special poll conducted in the region shows the party is in decline. The poll shows that voters who openly associate themselves with NPP which stood at 56% in November 2024 has declined to 37%, two months after the party lost the general election in a landslide, representing drop of 19 percentage point. NDC on the other hand, has seen astronomical rise in its voters from 17% to 38% according the poll, a rise of 21 percentage point.

On the question of who should make it to serve under John Mahama, the people of Ashanti region, overwhelmingly say the president should prioritize competence over all other factors. The finds 74% backing competence, loyal party members, 20%, party financiers, 4% and those who campaign most, 2%. It will interesting to see the views from regions perceived to be NDC stronghold.

Over half of Ashanti region voters believe their standard of living will improve in the next 12 months, the highest level of optimism recorded in the region since polling started. According to the polls, 56% believe their standard of living will get better in the next 12 months. The comparative figure for the same period in 2024 was 35%.

On people's standard of living, 52% of voters now say it has improved compared to a year ago while this figure was 17% in January 2024. In January 2024, 63% of voters say their standard of living had gotten worse, however, that figure has not declined to 13%.
