@Timcast A study with 9 participants with a median age of 58 where 2 individuals experienced these issues is hardly a study at this point, a giant nothing burger. If this leads to a larger study with more individuals and a lower median age and these issues are found, then sound the alarm.

Agreed. Advisable though? Hell no. There is no way I would use an old cable or a cable that was marketed as a 4090 cable on a 5090. Honestly, I was shocked Nvidia went with the same design. I would have bet money on them introducing 2 12VHPWR connectors specced for 300W each. I know that would require a bare minimum of 4x8 pin cables taking up 4 spots on the PSU but hell, most people I know running 4090/5090s are using 4x8 already.

I should be mad but the #Falcons are so terribly run and have been my entire life with what I can recall about 8 blips of success in the 40 years I’ve been on this planet, so I’ve come to accept that they bring this type of crap on themselves so whatever, reap what you sow.

@TheHellblazer3 @philthatremains I think last game I tried to pirate was Dark Souls 2 after it came out because I and just wanted to try it with full intention of buying it after I got paid again (which I did) but was greeted constantly to the random “screamer” that drove me up the wall, lol..

@samijo_BB @philthatremains A lot of new releases aren’t typically compatible/optimized for Steam Deck but devs usually do their best to optimize it so it is compatible later. Elden Ring was impossibly bad on release but now it’s perfect so there is hope.

@TheHellblazer3 @philthatremains Man, I lost patience with pirating games a very long time ago, lol.. Not sure if it’s any less of a head ache all that is nowadays. I mostly just CDKeys nowadays so it’s Steam Winter/Summer Sale whenever I want..

One thing that has annoyed me are MAGAs trying to convince us that tariffs wouldn’t raise prices on goods. But they are quick, and correct, to point out that whenever taxes are raised on companies, it’s passed on to the consumer. So, of course tariffs act the same way as taxes.
