From this Sunday I will officially be inactive as a VALORANT esports player as I step down from @KineTiX_eSports The team ended up not being the right fit for me and I want to take my time improving as an individual in and out of the game and re-enter the esport later (1/2)

🚨 rant about valorant ranked 🚨 (it’s been a while since i’ve done one of these & i barely play it anymore with the same grind mindset but this is something i realised tonight) valorant ranked is in a beyond unbearable state currently. cheaters, trolls, throwers, toxic people, MORONS & people who just run it down & actively look to create arguments. the player base has never been in such a dire state i wouldn’t be surprised if a large portion of active players just stopped playing entirely. how can officials & scrims be so adversely enjoyable compared to 90% of ranked games. it’s genuinely unfathomable because the only thing that changes are the players & the environment at it’s core it’s still the same. i’ve had the most enjoyment out of coaching during these recent changes & it’s probably the best map pool we’ve seen so far. theoretically competitive is in a really good place strategically but ranked is just absolute fucking aids. how is the disparity between the quality of the 2 things that make competitive what they are at such different stages currently? what enjoyment do i get out of playing this game currently? strategically i love it & always have but playing it for fun is just impossible. to achieve this & to WIN i’ve got to babysit a team of narcissistic delusional depressed autistic virgins & protect their fragile egos, i’ve got to think for them because they’re fucking stupid, talk for them because half the team have ruptured their vocal chords at the age of 4 & are now mute whilst the other half scream slurs down the mic & just complain at logical things their teammates are requesting of them because “you can’t tell me what to do, play your own game i’m gonna throw because you told me to do something logical & i just want to be a big baby & make everyone else’s experience a pile of fucking dogshit. & it’s every fucking game with some of these people it’s not a one-off they’ve just broken mentally no, they behave like this in almost every fucking game & then get surprised why every single teammate they have gets pissed off at them but never acknowledge they’re the problem. i’m aware this may come across as a little hypocritical because i’ve been at my end with this game in a “fun”, “casual”, “competitive” sense for what feels like a couple years now. & every act is the same for me. NEW ACT NEW ME! i’ll play the first few weeks, usually i’m top couple hundred & then it’ll just slowly deteriorate & i just give up & i start to imitate the shit i see in my lobbies. i genuinely cannot fucking remember the last time i tried in this game which is kinda sad to say but the player base is becoming more & more UNBEARABLE with every act that goes by. i have friends i play with who know what it’s like when i “try” which if i had to estimate is probably somewhere between 2-8% of the time & friends who experience only the other side of that. 3 rounds into a game i’ll have things which directly hinder the game whether it’s someone screaming slurs down the mic obnoxiously or just being fucking annoying, someone taking spike & not planting, someone running into down, someone with comms off or just refusing to listen & doing the exact opposite. things that literally make the game borderline unplayable. people who say things like “just focus on yourself” just don’t see the game or have the same experiences i do or just play roles for themselves & don’t typically fill. they play the game for a different reason & find enjoyment ig in running it down on a duelist or getting tons of kills or playing in a way that is self-serving to them. which i don’t usually enjoy or rarely get the chance to do because it’s a team game. bottom line is this… this game in its current state is absolutely diabolical. the level of narcissism, egos & delusion is fucking horrific, the interpersonal interactions during games are terrible & the environment that is created almost every fucking game is just atrocious. i hate ranked so fucking much.
