Investment banker Vernon E. Jordan Jr. (Lazard Frères) was a long-time member of the

Steering Committee.
He attended most of the Bilderberg Meetings between 1969 and his death in 2021. It was he who invited Governor Bill Clinton to attend the 1991 Bilderberg Meeting.
Vernon Jordan was a civil rights attorney and activist with a long career in law, government, and business even before serving on the Presidential Clemency Board for President Ford in 1974. He'd return to the White house as advisor to President Clinton in '92.
