Enjoying some good food on AF1400. On a side note, I’ve noticed the basic WiFi package working for everything rather than just the standard messaging. A very happy error.

I find this particularly heartbreaking because this is something that I do myself on every flight. “Landed CDG, love you lots x” is a regular text. I can’t imagine the pain of receiving that and then hearing this news. These passengers, crew, and their families are in my heart.
These passengers were so close to landing at DCA, likely low enough to regain service and text loved ones they arrived safely. My heart is breaking.

One of the best bits about travelling is meeting new people from all corners of the globe. Spent today’s AF1304 with a lovely couple from New Jersey, discussing all things from British royals to US politics. I even left with a present as one of them was a volunteer firefighter!

2024 was a blast. 49 flights, 14 countries, and countless new memories. Hope we can fly to even more heights in 2025.

@EdinburghNJS There are a few places in the world where I don’t feel truly comfortable. Catania was a good example, and I’d say Athens was similar. A lovely place for sure, but not somewhere I really gelled with.
