Breaking News: Gloucester School Officials have confirmed that Bryan Lafata has been named the Gloucester Athletic Director starting in the 2018-19 school year.
Lafata is currently the GHS varsity baseball coach and General Manager of Legends Baseball AAU Program.

Sad news to report out of Gloucester. Former GHS football coach Terry Silva has passed away. Silva was a coaching legend, the program’s all time wins leader and 3 time super bowl champ. Just as great of a person as he was a coach.

Looking through the GHS hockey schedule this season and see no Danvers. What a shame. Used to be the best rivalry around, had to buy tickets ahead of time. It's been one-sided recently but tough to see a great rivalry dropped. At least Everett and Somerville are on the schedule.

Breaking News: Tony Zerilli has stepped down as Gloucester High School football coach after 8 years on the job. Zerilli compiled a 51-38 record from 2011-18 including at least a share of 5 NEC titles and the Div. 4 North crown this fall.

Soph. F Jack Costanzo eclipsed 40 career goals in just 38 games. He already has 78 career points (41 goals, 37 assists).
Sr. F E.J. Field is now at 114 career points, 8th all time for GHS. He needs 3 more points to crack the top 6.

It's only 2 games into the season, but Cape Ann's two leading scorers in girls hoop are sisters Whitney and Kylie Schrock. Older sister Whitney, a senior, averaging 15.5 points for Gloucester. Younger sister Kylie, an 8th grader, scoring 15 ppg for Rockport.

Costanzo becomes the second Gloucester player in three seasons to be named NEC Player of the Year. Goalie Connor Vittands received the honor in 2020. He eclipsed 50 points on the season tonight and moved into third place on the school’s all time scoring list with 162 points.

Gloucester took home the Division 4 North title in dominant fashion, outscoring opponents 127-33 in three games. Tonight it was behind 456 yards of offense and three 100 yard rushers in Pena-Ortiz (183 yards), Lark (168 yards), and Smith (102 yards).
