I wanted to post a final message to say Thank You for all your support you have given.I feel lucky to have had the pleasure of teaching your children for the last few months. They really are special and I am missing them.
Hope you all have a wonderful summer!
I was blown away by our first helicopter stories session today. Imogen was a fantastic author and storyteller, and our actors played out the story so well! I’m so looking forward to more stories.
In spare moments in class we play “Would you rather...?”
Today I stumbled across children using some cards from the classroom, making up their own...my personal favourite was “Would you rather drink water from the fish tank or eat fish food?” Makes you think doesn’t it...!
It’s been another fantastic week in reception, well done to our stars Kayden and Hannah, your certificates were very well deserved and thank you
@GcaYear3

One part of our classroom all ready for next week, we’ll be counting the characters in our story Room on the Broom using a five frame. Have a lovely weekend everyone and if you find any autumn treasures make sure to bring them in to show us!🍁🍂🌰🎃
Well done to our award winners. We are proud of every one of our children but these three stood out this week🌟 We hope our Bedtime Book Box recipients enjoy their weekend reading treat too📚🥰
We have been looking David Litchfields’s illustrations as part of our work on colour and light and Ava has spent two days recreating one of his illustrations...she really wanted you to see it

. I can’t wait to read Kid Christmas to the class in a few weeks! 💕💕
We have been super busy in reception class so far this week! We have worked together to make our own play dough. We used pink food colouring because our book focus at the minute is The Three Little Pigs 🐷 who can guess what we’ve been making with our homemade play dough!? 🤩
This superstar has been working so hard to improve his letter formation and just look at the result 🤩✨ choosing the writing station during provision! Well done R, your hard work is absolutely paying off! 👏🏼
Just look at us practising our cutting skills this morning! We decided our outdoor area needed some traffic lights so that none of our vehicles crashed - so here we are, making them ourselves and taking ownership of our own learning and provision 🚦

They’ve loved the currant bun cafe today but want some doughnuts and cookies in there too!💕💕
So proud of this superstar in Reception, proving to us all that hard work pays off....check the dates, such amazing progress in such a short space of time! That’s because of you Millie, not me!🙌🏻
Congratulations to our two stars of the week...As always it was incredibly difficult to choose just two! We have had a super week in Reception and can’t wait for the next. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Another fantastic week for reception- here are our stars of the week and the winners of our bedtime reading boxes. Well done and keep up the amazing effort☺️👏⭐️

In art this half term, our focus is Sculpture. We have been introduced to a famous sculptor from our local area, Barbara Hepworth! Did you know, Wakefield residents can visit The Hepworth for FREE?! 🖼 let us know if you decide to take a trip!
We have been learning about Amelia Earheart today and her ambition to fly. Did you know she was the first female to set the world record for flying up to 14,000 feet.
We have enjoyed creating our own airport and designing our own aeroplanes.
