@hjluks @jointdocShields There is some growing information in Vascular Surgery as well. I started using it on a few cases where either had a little more oozing at the end or where I didn't wanna have any at all. Interesting resurgence

Received a "mysterious" package from Brazil today! I was SO surprised and pleased to get a HAND-MADE pencil/charcoal aortic art from @GenivalVid98027! Stunning! Can't wait to frame it! Obras de arte incríveis! Muito obrigado!!

@YDuwayri @EmoryVascSurg @vascularsurgery @EmorySurgery Yes!! It was a rare but fun sighting of 5 attendings and 3 seniors wrapping up patient care on Friday night - all happy to ensure we close up shop for the call team before a well-deserved weekend. Thanks for covering, and welcome to @EmoryVascSurg, Dr. Bailey!

@LeonardoRandial @YsaAugust @XavierBerardMD @ReneLizola @monteromiguel @jmills1955 @ManuelHosma @VascularForum Some places have unions who represent "all" residents in the hospital (not just vascular). They meet yearly with the hospital and Medical Education directors and review their contracts and make/accepts requests and negotiate together like businesses do.

@MitriKhouryMD @docpark Here is one: Re-implanted the redundant EIA on to the Ao-Internal iliac graft.
@GenivalVid98027 @AortaSurg @andrebrq @WLGore @Dr_Ma_of_PUMC @WVIAZ @AWBeckMD @WeiZhou74370988 @iamritu @OckeReis You are amazing. That was a crazy shape and you matched it perfectly. So impressive. Here was the repair with ligation of large left IIA aneurysm and re-implantation of right EIA on to the graft headed to right IIA

@wonderofscience So jealous. #bucketlist. Saw a fraction of this in Iceland- clouds are the Aurora's natural enemy.

@MitriKhouryMD @docpark In general I was taught to do the most posterior (deep) anastomosis first to simplify the second one, but I guess if the profunda/internal iliac is lateral it might be easy as well. Re-implanting the SFA/EIA on the graft is easy and/or a jump graft is also easy when superficial

@MitriKhouryMD @docpark Or do the bypass to the profunda (critical it stays open) and then reimplant SFA or do a jump bypass. Same approach for internal iliac first, then the EIA.

@mattsmeds @SouthernVasc I never did either! I didn't join until I left @UAMS_Vascular and went to @EmoryVascSurg . Originally, I always offered to stay behind, now we literally had to draw straws… I have to go right back to cover the weekend!

Haven't seen ATL airport this crazy since the early post-COVID days. Hosting the College National Championship caused 100000 people come to ATL. Good luck to all the travelers to the @SouthernVasc !
