We have just rescued 2 dogs from a car in St Annes. Even though the car was in the shade the temperature in the car was so high that one of the dogs was close to death. Both dogs taken to a local vet & owners reported to the

Thanks to the kind hearted lady who stopped to help a man dressed in PJ bottoms & fleece who couldn't remember where he lived. We brought him to the Police Station. We gave him a brew & mince pie & he was then reunited with his family. Only complaint - no whisky in his brew!!!

Fylde Taskforce have today been out patrolling making sure that residents are looking after themselves and practising social distancing.
Whilst doing this they have located a burglary suspect who has been arrested and is currently in custody.

**UPDATE - WARTON DEFIBRILLATOR**
Good news - The defib has been returned to NWAS. It was taken with good intentions by a member of the public and used to save a persons life.
It is now awaiting new pads and will be ready to use again very shortly.

Many thanks to a local citizen who contacted us after seeing two young males spraying graffiti in the Ansdell/Lytham area. As a result, they were both arrested for criminal damage and will undertake a community payback scheme and scrub clean the damage they have caused.

Congratulations to police cadets Alex and Matthew who received a commendation this week. They helped an 82-year-old lady in St Annes when she was involved in a collision with a car. They diverted traffic and cared for her, supporting her head and holding her hand. True heroes 🙌

Matthew Guthrie, from St Annes, suffered serious head injuries and passed away in hospital yesterday.

Gavin MOORE age 32 from Birmingham handed 28 week prison sentence.
He stole over £500 goods from Boots St Anne’s, was aggressive to staff/public & spread faeces in the police van and cell.
