Today we had a new volunteer do her first shift at Kitty Haven.
No one really told her who not to touch so she just went for it and was basically petting cats that other people really can't pet!

We’ve had so many tough losses recently, but today we have a huge reason to celebrate!
Gina has been working on this colony for just over an entire year. The last known unfixed cat was neutered and returned this afternoon. In total, 41 cats were TNRd and 15 kittens under.

A friendly pregnant beautiful cat like this doesn’t deserve to live on the street. We are super full. Every cage is taken. Many cats need people who can help socialize them, but we can’t find people to help. It’s really sad we have so many cats growing up in cages.

This is Charlie one of the abandoned bonded kitties we rescued over the weekend. He has wounds all over his arms and underneath his arm and chest. Many had maggots in them.💔 Even though we are wayyyyy beyond capacity physically and financially we are so happy to save him.

Pika is in foster and is doing extremely well on his meds. He has had zero aggression and is happy as can be. He was an extremely difficult behavior case but we think he is really turning the corner. We will need more time to evaluate him but so far so good.

Our kitty rescued earlier this week has been named Bart. He is under the care of the vet. He is extremely sick. We are not sure exactly what is going on but we know he has a long, long, long road ahead of him. Please keep him in your thoughts and donate.

Awaiting a second test to be sure. We won’t say it out loud just yet. Praying the PCR will be different. Unfortunately, he was too ill to have anything done at the vet other than blood work. He could not be sedated or neutered. This sweet boy is killing us.

We were right in the middle of doing intake for a female cat that we found this morning, when our phones started blowing up with notifications & messages about ANOTHER cat that needed dire help. So, we hopped right into the car to retrieve the cat.

On Monday we were notified by one of our fosters about these five kittens. They were found in a fountain nearly drowning in Perris. We were able to make room for them in the rescue but we would love some help with TNR services so this stops happening at this location.

Spitfire hasn’t had an easy life. He was born on the street and was severely injured. His jaw was broken and had some neurological damage. He lost his long term foster and now he is back at the shelter. He deserves a home to call his own.

Welcome Finnegan! He was a relatively easy cat to scoop out of the park. In fact, we just picked him up and put him in this transfer trap. He’s a bit bewildered but ok. And he’s been rescued right before freezing dangerous weather is expected to hit!
