Let's discuss Samoa's (non) try:
*Samoa score
*TMO checks
*Try awarded
*Conversion takes place
*Play resumes
*TMO re-checks
*Try disallowed
I'm sorry but that is not an obvious knock on.
Sufficient doubt plus you've already determined as much!

CONGRATULATIONS to the
#Springboks
An excellent 35-7 win over the All Blacks at Twickenham.
It is:
* SA's biggest win over New Zealand
* The kiwis' heaviest ever defeat in Tests
#RSAvNZL
Now you have to wonder:
If it had been England would the TMO have been so proactive?
Just more World Rugby BS.
I wonder sometimes why we're still watching.

It took the Springboks 11 minutes and 13 seconds to secure the bonus point.
That is the fastest time to achieve that in the history of the Rugby World Cup.
Well done, Bokke!
#RSAvsROM
#RWC2023
Lot of posts I'm seeing about "the greatest flyhalf of all-time".
Carter, Farrell, Michalak, O'Gara, Sexton are among the names I've seen.
No one talking about the only flyhalf to have won the Rugby World Cup twice!
Also, apparently no one ever saw HENRY HONIBALL play rugby!
Today is the anniversary of the Springboks' 19-15 win over France in the 1995 Rugby World Cup semi-finals in Durban. What's your best memory of that day?
The Springboks are through to the
#RWC2023
thanks to a 16-15 win over England.
Honestly South Africa have absolutely burgled that win.
England the better team for 75 minutes. Their best performance of the tournament but not enough in the end.

@rugby_ap
Mmm, what would I rather watch?
* Two titans throwing everything at each other & there's just no way through & you don't know what's going to happen until the final whistle.
* One team throwing everything at another that offers no resistance and it's all over after 20 mins.
Just a few more thoughts on the
#RSAvsSCO
game.
Congratulations to Faf De Klerk on reaching 50 Tests today. He has been a stalwart and an outstanding servant of the game. Rugby World Cup winner to boot!
We salute you, Faf!
The last time the Springboks beat France in a Rugby World Cup knockout match they went on to face the All Blacks in the final and won.
Just Saying.

I didn't cry last night. I did cry in 95 and 19.
But after all that pressure and tension, seeing this picture made me crack up just now.
I'm literally sobbing!
What a beautiful image.
These Springboks are so special and I just love them.
@AnalystGus
Remember the West Indies ruined cricket when they had their world class quartet of fast bowlers.
We are ruining rugby with our Bomb Squad.
All these narratives just smack of bitterness and jealousy.
Get ready, folks! On Sunday Lions legend KOBUS WIESE will be my guest.
@4KobusWiese
looks back on a memorable Currie Cup and Super 10 career and does not hold back. You're not going to want to miss this one!
@scrumming_ten
It's also worth adding that they no longer receive a share of the Super Rugby TV revenue ... You know the very same revenue that was propped up heavily by South African viewers!
@Oom_Rugby
Oom, I've accepted that many will never move past the stereotype. They don't see anything. They just believe what they believe was true in the past.
They probably still think:
* Argentina has a powerful scrum
* France are unpredictable
* Romania are the world's 7th best team
Finally allow me to apologise to the All Blacks fans for my pre-
#IREvNZL
comments.
Sure it was all in the name of fun but I truly believed the Irish would win.
Well they didn't. They were outplayed by a better team.
Congratulations to New Zealand.

England snatch victory from the jaws of defeat!
18-17 ... what a match in Lille.
You have to wonder, if Samoa had not had a try stolen from them in the first half, and without the late yellow card, would this result have been different?

Remember how the

was supposed to hosted by South Africa but then awarded to France?
Justice then that the Springboks should win the 2023

As for Scotland, they head home after finishing third in Pool B.
They're not a bad side. Victims of the absurdity of conducting the draw THREE YEARS BEFORE the World Cup.

Springboks have been the better team and deservedly lead 21-8 but a few thoughts:

*Fourie finding his jumpers
*Pollard 3/3
*Boks getting a good workout

@AnalystGus
I hate to say it but at some point I feel it's a worthy discussion point:
Do they see us as some backwater, third world country, and it irks them that we beat them more times than they beat us?
If so, then it's just plain old jealousy isn't it?
My hands and legs are still shaking. A nailbiter. An awful experience to have to live through but in the end South Africa are Rugby World Cup winners for a record FOURTH TIME.
New Zealand down to 14 men but were immense.
This is rugby's GREATEST RIVALRY!
Guys, a big thank you from me to you. I was considerably more active on X during the Rugby World Cup and thoroughly enjoyed 99% of it!
(There's always a moron lurking)
I grew my followers list by ~50% and my YouTube subs (~48 new videos) are up ~43% in the last 7 weeks.
Guys, I've started a newsletter! Every fortnight you'll get my views on what's going on in SA rugby. I promise to keep it fun, entertaining and insightful. If you want in, pop me an email: peter

Would also like to send out an appreciate post for Ireland captain Johnny Sexton.
He has had a sensational career. He has basically done it all and it would have been fitting to add the Webb Ellis Cup to his accolades. But it was not to be.
Go well, legend.

Get ready folks. This Monday we'll kick off the New Year with a very special video. 1995 Rugby World Cup winner

Make sure you don't miss it!
And that completes one of the worst matches of rugby I've seen. In fact I've see some Scotland v Italy Six Nations wooden spoon games that would give that

match a run for its money.
Ireland 🍀complete a comfortable 82-8 win over Romania 🇷🇴
This is only the second time since 2 October 2011 (NZL 79-15 CAN) that a team has scored more than 70 points at the Rugby World Cup.

Get ready for tonight, folks. Former Springbok loose forward and captain at the 1995 Rugby World Cup against Romania ADRIAAN RICHTER will be our guest in this week's big interview on YouTube!
18:00 SA Time.
SA Rugby has been very quick to announce the details, route etc of the Trophy Tour.
This is called efficiency.
But we are also used to doing these things now. We do it every fours now so it was easy to just whip out the details from last time ... copy/paste!
World Champions!
Friends, I've reached a big milestone: 50 YouTube video uploads. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for the wonderful support you've all given me. Not to mention the ex-Springboks who have kindly agreed to be interviewed! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Best match of the

No doubt about it.
Pulsating stuff!
The Springboks beat the host nation France 29-28.
And now everybody can breathe again.

have dominated the All Blacks in a way we've rarely seen. 14-0 at half-time feels like an injustice. But playing the second 40 with 14 men is going to be a very tall order for the kiwis. South Africa have a golden opportunity to hand out a hiding here.

I change my desktop background once a week.
But I've kept this one up for the last month now. Probably time to change it.
But maybe I can keep it up a little longer.
Maybe another 11 or 12 days.
What do you guys think?

* The Boks go into the World Cup as the team that has most recently won a trophy 😉

* 21 Tests for the Springboks
* Helped the Boks win the 1995 Rugby World Cup
* Test debut v France (Jul 3, 1993 - lost 18-17)
* Last Test v Australia (Aug 23, 1997 - won 61-22)
* One Test try (v All Blacks in Pretoria in 1996)

The Springboks lead 33-0 at half-time against Romania.
The rain means it's unlikely we'll put up a cricket score in Bordeaux but just out of interest sake South Africa's biggest win at a Rugby World Cup is 87-0 against Namibia in 2011.

Today we remember the legendary Joost Van Der Westhuizen. 1995 Rugby World Cup and 1998 Tri-Nations winner! Joost scored 38 tries in his 89 Tests - the try-scoring record at the time of his retirement in 2003. The famous Number Nine lost his life on this day in 2017. RIP
@RoryPetzer
It's easy to score 96 points when the other team has no physicality, no set piece, no defence and for some reason think it's a good idea to run from deep.
I'd like to see the kiwis do this to us or Ireland.
